Robotic Car Kit Labs

This project aims to provide hands-on approaches to understanding how diverse technology specialisms, can experienced through the context of  building, optimising and analysing robotic car kits and their supporting infrastructure.

Synopsis
This project focuses on the use of robotic car kits as a platform for cross-specialism applied learning in education. Robotic cart kits provide symbiotic opportunities to learn about many technology specialism, for example; hardware, operating systems, programming, networking, data analytics, machine learning, cyber security, vulnerability analysis, system design, and self-driving vehicle techniques.

Aim
This project aims to provide hands-on approaches to understanding how diverse technology specialisms, can experienced through the context of  building, optimising and analysing robotic car kits and their supporting infrastructure.

Indicative Technologies
Raspberry Pi, GPIO Pins, Motors, Cameras, Ultrasonic Sensors, IR Sensors, Servo Motors, Networking and Communication, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Ethernet, Raspbian OS, Python, Kali Linux.

Expected Outputs
This is a multiphased project that will focus on different specialisms. A key outcome of this project is to develop a series labs and how to guides that will be shared as open source materials. It is also anticipated that implementations and demonstrations of activities (e.g. self-driving techniques, vulnerability exploits etc, will be recorded and shared as part of the lab resources.
