The conference will be held at Abertay University, Bell Street, Dundee, Scotland, DD1 1HG. The campus is located in Dundee city centre, within easy walking distance of shops, restaurants and transport links.

By Rail

​Dundee railway station is approximately a 10-minute walk from the Abertay campus. Dundee is served by ScotRail and LNER, with direct services from Edinburgh (roughly 1 hour 15 minutes), Glasgow (roughly 1 hour 30 minutes) and Aberdeen (roughly 1 hour 15 minutes). Taxis are available outside the station entrance. Booking train tickets in advance is usually cheaper.

By Air

he nearest major airports are Edinburgh (approximately 1 hour 15 minutes by car or train), Glasgow (approximately 1 hour 45 minutes) and Aberdeen (approximately 1 hour 15 minutes). All three airports offer domestic and international flights. Onward travel to Dundee is straightforward by train or hire car.

Accommodation

Dundee city centre has a good range of hotels within walking distance of the campus. Options include Hampton by Hilton Dundee City Centre, Holiday Inn Express Dundee, Hotel Indigo Dundee, Apex City Quay Hotel and Spa, Malmaison Dundee and Premier Inn Dundee Centre. Budget-friendly options and serviced apartments are also available. We recommend booking early, particularly during the summer months.

By Bus

Dundee bus station (Seagate) is approximately a 10-minute walk from campus. Long-distance coach services are operated by Citylink and Megabus. Local bus services connect the city centre with surrounding areas. Check your operator's timetable before you travel.

 

By Car

Use postcode DD1 1HG for sat nav. There is no visitor parking on campus. The nearest public car park is the West Bell Street multi-storey, approximately a two-minute walk from the university. On-street parking is also available on West Bell Street and Constitution Road (pay and display). Please note that Dundee city centre has a Low Emission Zone.

About Dundee

Dundee is Scotland's fourth-largest city, recognised as the UK's first UNESCO City of Design. Attractions within walking distance of the campus include the V&A Dundee museum, Discovery Point, The McManus Art Gallery and Museum, and the Dundee waterfront. The city offers a wide selection of restaurants, cafes and pubs in the centre.

Accessibility

The Abertay University campus is accessible to wheelchair users. The main buildings have step-free access via ramps and automatic doors, accessible lifts to all floors, and accessible toilets. An induction loop is available, and assistance dogs are welcome on campus.

The nearest public car park (West Bell Street multi-storey) is approximately 100 metres from the main campus entrance. On-street parking is available on West Bell Street and Constitution Road, though there are currently no dedicated accessible parking bays on these streets. Blue Badge holders should contact the university in advance to arrange parking, as students and visitors with accessibility needs may be given access to the staff car park.
