About the Experience exceler8or Challenge
The CSE Connect: Experience exceler8or Challenge is an experience enhancement programme that has been designed to fast-track professional development for cyber security and computer science students.
Across an 9-week journey, participants collaborate in groups with other students throughout the UK to work on live impact projects, solving real challenges for real clients.
The programme is far more than adding lines to your CV. It is about developing practical skills, professional judgment, and portfolios of real accomplishments that employers actually value.

How much time commitment is required?
The program typically requires 8-10 hours per week of team-based project time, and a further 10 hours per week of independent time in order to complete the exceler8or successfully.
Can I participate alongside my studies/work?
Yes, the program is designed to complement your studies or work, with flexible scheduling and remote participation options.
Is there a cost to participate?
The Experience exceler8or Challenge is completely free. Additional extended coaching services are available for participants who wish to further enhance their development, but these are optional.
What support is provided during the programme?
Participants receive comprehensive support including a dedicated project lead, career and communication coaching, feedback from industry professionals at Demo Day, and regular structured feedback throughout the entire program.
