About this event
It’s our pleasure to invite you to participate in the first of three international 90 minute online events. The event is an ICEC Conference led jointly by the Social Cyber Institute, NCyTE and CSE Connect all operating under a shared vision to "Advance cyber security workforce capability across the Australian, United Kingdom, United States [AUKUS] nations through education, research and cross-border collaboration".
Timings for the event are: 1st June 17:00-18:30 (US-ET) / 22:00-23:30 (UK) and
2nd June at 07:00–08:30 (Canberra)
This programme is driven by three factors:
There is limited public articulation in the three countries of how to build values-based AI governance skills at scale and embed them in the workforces, in large part because AI take-up is regarded by most as both inevitable and manageable.
There is only patchy evidence of dedicated education on the risks and dangers of AI.
Foundational values and skills for responsible and competent use of AI are not firmly established in the cyber security workforce in any of the three countries.
We are lining up a excellent panel of speakers and would welcome your input to this interactive and discursive event and hope to see you online. This workshop will be followed by a further two workshops exploring cyber security AI competency and change in educational programmes and institutions.
