Dr Charles Clarke

Dr Charles Clarke is Director of Operations at CSE Connect, a national cyber security education organisation that enhances workforce competency through innovative education, training and skills initiatives across the UK.

He is a cyber security education specialist who speaks at both national and international events, serves as a panel assessor for National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) Certified Cyber Security Degrees, chairs the NCSC Academic Centre of Excellence in Cyber Security Education (ACE-CSE) panels, and works in an advisory capacity to government on related initiatives and strategies.

Charles previously served as Associate Professor in Cyber Security and Head of Computing at the University of Roehampton.

Prior to academia, Charles worked extensively in the IT industry in various roles that included senior management and directorships. Previous work experience has included full-time and consulting roles nationally and with many organisations; examples of which include Wireless Knowledge, Qualcomm (San Diego), Microsoft (Seattle), Smartone (Hong Kong), AIOC Corporation (Beijing, Cologne, Amsterdam, New York, Zug), BT Labs (Martlesham), Dresdner Kleinwort, Merrill Lynch, JP Morgan and SHL SystemHouse (London).
