Dr Charles Clarke is an Associate Professor in Cyber Security and Deputy Head of Computing at the University of Roehampton. He has extensive experience of delivering creative, engaging, and innovative learning experiences at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
He is a co-founder of CSE Connect. As a cyber security education specialist, he speaks at both national and international events, serves as a panel assessor for NCSC certified cyber security degrees, and works in an advisory role to government, providing insights and guidance on cyber security education initiatives and strategies.
Prior to academia, Charles worked extensively in the IT industry in various roles that included senior management and directorships. Previous work experience has included full-time and consulting roles nationally and with many organisations; examples of which include Wireless Knowledge, Qualcomm (San Diego), Microsoft (Seattle), Smartone (Hong Kong), AIOC Corporation (Beijing, Cologne, Amsterdam, New York, Zug), BT Labs (Martlesham), Dresdner Kleinwort, Merrill Lynch, JP Morgan and SHL SystemHouse (London).
