Dr Mastaneh Davis

Co-Director of the London Regional Hub

Mastaneh is an associate professor in cyber security, senior fellow of the HEA and the programme leader for the undergraduate cyber security course at the University of Roehampton. With over 16 years of teaching experience and 6 years as a postdoctoral research fellow, she brings extensive expertise to both academia and research.


Her research and teaching focus primarily on mobile application security and digital forensics, areas where she is actively engaged in advancing knowledge and practical applications. Mastaneh is passionate about bridging the gap between academic learning and industry readiness, working as the employability lead for cyber security and computer science students. In this role, she actively engages with industry partners to organise networking events and hands-on learning workshops that provide students with practical, real-world cyber security challenges.


Beyond the classroom, Mastaneh is committed to community engagement through various outreach activities that promote cyber security awareness and education. She is particularly passionate about increasing female representation in technology and actively works to encourage and support women entering the field.


Mastaneh believes in the importance of holistic education and consistently encourages students to engage with activities beyond the traditional curriculum, fostering well-rounded professionals who are prepared for the challenges of the rapidly evolving cyber security landscape.
