Dr Lata Nautiyal

Lata Nautiyal is a Cyber Security Lecturer at the University of Roehampton, with a strong academic and research background. Previously, she was the lead researcher on the CyBOK project at the University of Bristol. Her research interests lie in Secure software Development and addressing the growing cyber security skills gap, particularly in the context of higher education and employability. She is also deeply involved in outreach activities, actively promoting female participation in cyber security and contributing to various cyber security clusters across England. Recognised as a role model for ethnic minorities in cyber security by the UK Cyber Security Council, Lata's work includes investigating cyber security education practices across UK Higher Education Institutions, exploring the skills gap’s impact on graduate employability, and developing frameworks for Cyber Security Knowledge Profiling to map and assess student competencies effectively.
